SecureGuard Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the SecureGuard Android app and the FPU website, how we use it, and the choices you have. SecureGuard helps families and individuals with mobile fraud protection, alerts, URL checks, and guided reporting support. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will never share your personal data or details with anyone.

1) Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data through the SecureGuard app or the FPU website. We do not collect names, usernames, passwords, phone numbers, or other personal account information.

With your explicit consent, we may receive SecureGuard feedback data solely for model training to improve fraud-detection and protection features. Feedback is collected only after you choose to share it; if you do not consent, no feedback data is sent to us.

2) How We Use Your Information

• Model training: consented SecureGuard feedback may be used to train and improve our fraud-prevention models and app features.
• Service communication: if you contact us (for example by email or WhatsApp), we use that conversation only to respond to your request.

We do not use SecureGuard feedback for advertising or sell it to third parties.

3) Data Storage & Security

When you consent to share SecureGuard feedback, we store it securely and take reasonable measures to protect it against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including:

• Encrypting data in transit.
• Limiting access to authorized personnel only.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4) Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. Your data is completely safe with us and will never be shared with third parties, advertisers, or any other organizations.

We will only disclose information if required to comply with a valid legal request (e.g., court order) or to protect our rights and users' safety. Even in such cases, we will notify you whenever possible and only share the minimum information required by law.

Your trust is our most valuable asset, and we protect it with the highest level of security and confidentiality.

5) Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

• Access & Update: You can request a copy of your data or ask us to correct it.
• Deletion: You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See below.

How to Request Deletion

Email us at contact@fraudpreventionunit.in with the subject line: "Delete My SecureGuard Feedback Data".

We will verify your request and delete consented feedback data within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days), unless we are required by law to retain certain records.

7) Opting Out of Feedback & Promotions

You can decline feedback sharing in the SecureGuard app at any time. To stop receiving promotional messages (if any), you can:

• Reply STOP (for SMS where supported), or
• Email contact@fraudpreventionunit.in with the subject: "Unsubscribe Promotions".

8) Children's Privacy

SecureGuard is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us to have it deleted.

9) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated Effective Date. Material changes may be communicated in the SecureGuard app or via SMS.
